Organ Procurement Specialist
Donor Alliance is hiring an Organ Procurement Specialist in Denver! The Organ Procurement Specialist position involves the fulfillment of shifted responsibilities and assigned office time related to organ placement, coordination of import offers, coordination of recovery process, preservation and distribution of organs, and all related documentation. This position handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure for organ donation.

Organ and tissue donation is a unique area of the medical world. Titles like “Tissue Recovery Coordinator” and “Organ Recovery Specialist” simply don’t exist at most hospitals and clinics. However, if you or a loved one has been touched by the incredible gift of organ and tissue donation, you understand deeply just how important these roles are in the donation for transplantation process. Tissue Recovery Coordinator
The Tissue Recovery Coordinators perform the surgical recovery of tissues for life saving gifts.
Donor and Family Coordinator - Organ
Formerly known as the Family Support Coordinator, the Donor & Family Coordinator - Organ is a front line staff member who responds to potential donor referrals from referrals.
Organ Procurement Specialist
Formerly known as an Organ Recovery Specialist, the Organ Procurement Specialist supports surgical team during the organ recovery process.
Quality Assurance Coordinator
The Quality Assurance Coordinator supports the quality team in the timely and accurate technical review of donor records.
Donor and Family Coordinator - Tissue
Formerly known as Tissue Donor Coordinator, the Donor & Family Coordinator - Tissue is a front line member responding to tissue donor referrals.
Organ Clinical Coordinator
Formerly known as an Organ Recovery Coordinator, the Organ Clinical Coordinator medically manages donors in the donation process.

Donor Alliance is committed to finding qualified individuals that will live out our mission, vision, and values in their everyday work. Because of this, we have a multi-step interview process that allows candidates to meet with many Donor Alliance team members.
The typical interview process consists of:
· Phone interview with a human resources team member.
· Interview with the hiring manager and human resources.
· Peer interview with Donor Alliance team members in the same role, or those that work closely with the role.
*Leadership roles may require additional steps.
A Donor Alliance recruiter will be your point of contact throughout the interview process.
Could be both! We aim to keep our interview process efficient, while also balancing the importance of building relationships. We also recognize candidates are not always located in Denver or are employed elsewhere. Most first interviews take place virtually and peer interviews are in-person. For some roles, we may ask you to interview in-person for both interviews. We’ll make sure to give you plenty of notice ahead of time.
Your initial interview will comprise of questions surrounding your technical abilities and how they pertain to the role you are applying for. The peer interview is a shorter behavioral interview, with the intention of plenty of time for you to ask questions of the peer team who you would work with if you join the team. Please prepare for the peer interview with plenty of questions for the team!
We hold a new hire orientation once a month. This allows for larger hiring classes that create a stronger sense of community and offers great opportunity for relationship building for new employees. We have found it promotes better learning for new employees and helps internal teams create a positive onboarding experience.

To remain consistent in our application review process, we review applications in the order they are received. Once we have a group of qualified candidates that we are moving forward in the interview process, we stop reviewing applications. If something were to change with our candidate pool, we review additional applications in the order they were received.
While we include a set of qualifications, we encourage you to not self-select out of positions. If you feel as if you have obtained some of the required qualifications, or have transferrable skills, please submit your interest! Even if the role you apply for isn’t going to be the right fit, the HR team can provide you with direction on other roles that may be a fit!
Donor Alliance has a “General Interest” posting available on the career site. If you do not see a role you feel like is the right fit for you, please submit your resume to that role. Our team monitors those submissions and will reach out about non-posted positions that might be a fit for your skillset.
