Donor Alliance recognizes that in our community, funeral homes are a vital link in the organ and tissue donation process. We understand the impact organ and tissue donation has on you and your work. That is why Donor Alliance now offers the following resources to all funeral homes in Colorado and Wyoming:
Funeral Service Support – Sundee Clemans, Coroner/Funeral Services Liaison came to Donor Alliance with funeral experience and she understands the challenges you may face. Sundee is available to you and your staff with any issues or concerns regarding organ and tissue donation.
Funeral Director’s Guide to organ and tissue donation – This document is free to you and your staff.
Educational Programs – We offer many in-service and educational programs for you and your staff.
Mortuary Resource Committee – In order to build relationships and improve communication with the funeral homes in our communities, we have developed a committee to focus on the needs of the funeral homes.
Reimbursement for Restoration – To ensure that no costs related to donation are passed onto the donor family, Donor Alliance provides a Restoration Reimbursement Program.
National Donate Life Month – This is an opportunity make a difference by educating your community. Throughout April, several events will be taking place encouraging people to sign-up on the donor registry. Special materials will be made available for circulation.
Workplace Partnership – We would like you to get involved in becoming a workplace partner. Started as a national initiative by Tommy Thompson, we reach out to local businesses and associations encouraging employees and members to become involved in helping save lives.
Funeral Services Newsletter Articles – Do you have a unique story to tell? Submit an article to our bi-annual newsletter (February and September), Perspectives.
