Medical Records Coordinator

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate technical review of tissue services medical records.  The Medical Records Coordinator is also responsible for training new tissue services employees in chart review.  In addition, this position oversees the flow of medical records for the tissue services department.

 

 

 

Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required.  College course work/degree preferred.  Familiarity with hospital records preferred.  Quality assurance/quality control or medical records experience preferred.  Excellent organizational skills required.  Ability to collect and document information in a sequential, accurate and timely manner required.  Ability to work independently without supervision to perform job duties.
