TISSUE RECOVERY SUPERVISOR

TISSUE RECOVERY SUPERVISOR – Denver, CO

The Tissue Recovery Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the tissue donation and recovery process including; maintaining and updating tissue recovery training module systems, along with supervision, training, and performance evaluations for the Tissue Recovery Clinicians and Tissue Recovery Technicians. This Supervisor will work independently and as a team member in evaluating and documenting potential tissue donors, developing and maintaining donor referral sources, and performing tissue recoveries.  This position also has the responsibility for identification, coordination and completion of department specific projects as assigned. This is a full time position with limited on-call duties, working from 7pm - 7am.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelors degree in a life science, certification in surgical technology/medical/ paramedical professional is required to perform all technical functions of the position and/or equivalent work related experience.  Minimum three years tissue recovery experience and CTBS (AATB certification) required.  Supervisory or leadership experience preferred in order to effectively coordinate, train, and evaluate employees.  The ideal candidate must possess strong and effective interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with donor families, the medical community and general public. Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software including but not limited to Windows (Word, Excel, database).
