QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR

Quality  Assurance COORDINATOR – Denver, Colorado

  

 

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate technical review of donor records to ensure regulatory compliance.  In addition, this position is responsible for training new employees in chart review.

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years experience in a regulated industry or in a clinical or hospital setting required.   Knowledge of diseases and medical terminology is required.  Experience with hospital records strongly preferred. Quality assurance/quality control experience preferred

   

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Maintains all donor records and ensures that all records are in compliance with regulatory agencies as appropriate, (i.e., AATB, FDA, AOPO, UNOS, CMS).

   

 ·       Performs technical review of donor charts for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with minimal errors.

 ·       Extracts information from hospital records and     determines the suitability of organs/tissue for transplantation.

  

·       Works with Quality Systems to apply changing processor and industry standard criteria to the donor chart review process.

  

·       Works closely with other departments to obtain information for chart release.

 

 

 ·       Distributes information to other procurement agencies and processing centers as appropriate.

 

·       Oversees process for donor charts to make sure they are properly maintained, reviewed and released in a timely manner.
