DONOR ALLIANCE WELCOMES JOHN P. HARNEY TO GOVERNING BOARD OF DIRECTORS

DENVER—June 2, 2008—Donor Alliance, the organ procurement organization and American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) accredited tissue bank serving Colorado and most of Wyoming, has recently welcomed John P. Harney to its Governing Board of Directors.

Currently serving as chief operating officer of the University of Colorado Hospital, Harney brings more than 15 years of experience to the organ donation community. As the former executive vice president and COO of NYU Hospitals Center in New York, Harney devoted many of his efforts to organ transplant programs. Harney also served on the Board of Directors for the New York Organ Donor Network from 1998 to 2005.

“We’re thrilled to have John join Donor Alliance as a member of the Governing Board of Directors, as we work to save lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation,” said Sue Dunn, president and CEO of Donor Alliance. “His passion and extensive knowledge of donation will serve as an invaluable asset to our organization.”

John P. Harney joins Bradley T. Kornfeld, Nancy Williams, Kenyada Meadows, Carol Gregory RN, MSN, MBA, Igal Kam, MD and Ronald Kucic, PhD, CMA all who currently serve on Donor Alliance’s Governing Board of Directors.
