When will the 2020 Donor Family Tribute take place?

This year’s Donor Family Tribute will take place on Saturday, September 26th. A new Save the Date was mailed and invitations will be mailed in July.

Is there a limit on the number of guests I can bring?

We encourage you to share this special experience with your family. You are welcome to bring your immediate family as well as extended family. As there are a limited number of seats available, we ask that if you plan to bring more than 6 members of your family, contact us 303.329.4747 to check on seating availability.

What does the Donor Family Tribute involve?

The program includes special music, inspirational speakers, and recognition of donors and their families.

What is the special recognition ceremony?

Donor Alliance staff will read the names of each donor from the stage and one member of each family in attendance will light a candle in honor of their love one.

Who attends the Donor Family Tribute?

The 2020 Donor Family Tribute will include families whose loved ones donated between January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2019, Donor Alliance employees and individuals from our partner organizations. This is an invitation-only event.

What type of food and refreshments will be served?

Appetizers and water, coffee, and lemonade.

What type of attire should attendees wear to the event?

Business casual attire is encouraged.

What if I cannot attend?

Donor Families who cannot attend the event this year can RSVP “no” with the option to be invited to next year’s event.

Donor Family Quilt Project

Where/how are the Rocky Mountain Threads of Life quilts used outside of the Donor Family Tribute?

Quilts are displayed at special community outreach events throughout Colorado and Wyoming to celebrate those who gave the gift of life and to encourage people to register to be organ, eye and tissue donors.

Butterfly Wall

What if I lose my butterfly?

If you misplace the butterfly included with your invitation, please contact us. We will be happy to send you another one.

Can I take my butterfly with me after the event?

Yes you can. You may also want to take a moment and snap some photographs in front of the memory wall prior to or after the event.

Pictorial Tribute

How will my loved one’s photograph be used?
Your loved one’s photo will be added to the Pictorial Tribute, a slideshow that will be shown as part of the Donor Family Tribute. Donor Alliance will not use the photos for any other purposes.

Do I have to submit a photograph to attend the Donor Family Tribute?
No, submitting a photo is optional and is not required to attend the event.

Can I bring a photograph on the day of the Donor Family Tribute to be used in the Pictorial Tribute?
No, all photos must be received by September 18, 2020 to be included.

How do I submit my loved one’s photo?
The easiest way to submit a photo of your loved one for the Pictorial Tribute is to upload a digital file in the RSVP form. If you do not have a photo ready when you RSVP you may submit the photo by email or mail. (See below.)

What file types are accepted?
Allowable file types are jpg, png, and pdf. Please send high resolution photos if possible.

What if I don’t have a photograph available when I submit my RSVP?
If you have already submitted your RSVP online, you can send can the photo of your loved one with their full name to FamilySupport@donoralliance.org. It will still be included in the Pictorial Tribute if received by September 18, 2020.

What if I don’t have a digital photograph of my loved one?
You may mail your photograph to Donor Alliance, Attn: Photos, 200 Spruce Street, Ste 200, Denver, CO 80230. Please include a note with the full name of your loved one. Photos must be received by September 18, 2020 and will be mailed back to you.

Will Donor Alliance alter the photograph?
We will not change the appearance of your loved in the photo. To be better viewed on a projection screen, the photos may be cropped or have damages to the photo itself (scratches, dust, etc.) digitally removed.
