“How Big is Your Heart?” Donate Life Wyoming Float
“And what happened, then? Well, in Whoville they say – that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day. And then – the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches, plus two!”

How big is your heart this Christmas? Did you know that organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation affects every community in Wyoming? Nearly 150 Wyomingites are waiting for a lifesaving transplant and every 10 minutes, across the United States, someone is added to the transplant waiting list. On average, 20 people die every day while waiting for a transplant. Wyomingites can show how big their hearts are by signing up to join our float this November in the Cheyenne Christmas Parade!
Learn more about donation and transplantation here. Organ donation is a matter of life and death for those waiting. Add the thousands whose lives are saved and healed by tissue and cornea donation that helps them to see better, move better and reclaim their lives.
Join the Donate Life Wyoming float and help us celebrate our “Favorite Christmas Movies, Characters and Quotes” to bring awareness to organ, eye and tissue donation this holiday season. This annual tradition kicks off promptly at 5:30 PM at 17th Street and Carey Avenue and takes place the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The parade marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue. From Capitol Avenue, the parade continues down to 16th street and concludes on Pioneer Avenue with Santa continuing on to the Depot Plaza for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Let’s show all of Wyoming how big our hearts are as we support organ, eye and tissue donation! You can walk or ride on our festive float. If you’d like to be a part of this special event, please contact Ryea’ O’Neill @ 307-577-1700 or roneill@donoralliance.org.
