Flag Raising Ceremony at St. Mary's Medical Center

PSL FLag RaisingThis April, in celebration of National Donate Life Month, Donor Alliance will join St. Mary’s Medical Center for a flag raising ceremony. In addition to the flag raising ceremony, St. Mary’s Medical Center will be awash in blue and green throughout National Donate Life Month to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation.

Flag raising ceremonies, occurring at hospitals across Colorado and Wyoming are a special opportunity for residents directly impacted by donation to honor donors and raise awareness for donation. Donor families, recipients, those on the transplant list, medical staff and passionate supporters are encouraged to attend the flag raising ceremonies.

Kate Geer’s husband saved lives in life and in death. Kate will be at the flag raising and briefly tell the story of her husband, a police officer killed in the line of duty, and his heroic decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.
