Flag Raising Ceremony at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center
This April, in celebration of National Donate Life Month, Donor Alliance will join Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center for a flag raising ceremony. In addition to the flag raising ceremony, Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center will be awash in blue and green throughout National Donate Life Month to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation.
Flag raising ceremonies, occurring at hospitals across Colorado and Wyoming are a special opportunity for residents directly impacted by donation to honor donors and raise awareness for donation. Donor families, recipients, those on the transplant list, medical staff and passionate supporters are encouraged to attend the flag raising ceremonies.
Bruce and Sheri Wolin, a living-donor and recipient couple, will be at the ceremony to tell their story and thank hospital staff! Sheri donated a kidney to her husband, Bruce – a powerful love story that shows the major impact that organ donation can have.
