with Challenge for Charities Awards Ceremony
Hailing from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, The Commonheart is a gritty, high energy, soul rock band. Featuring ten mega-talented artists lead by front man vocalist, Clinton Clegg, who commands full attention with his limitless onstage energy and vocal range. The rest of the entourage includes Shawn McGregor on drums, Mike Minda on guitar, Ava Lintz on bass, Lucas Bowman on keyboards, Nate Insko on trumpet, Abby Gross on saxophone, Jess Hohman vocals and flute, Mikey DeLuca vocals and guitar, and Stephanie Ballard vocals. Their new album Grown (2016) is a remarkable display of each member’s talent interlacing heavy blues, soul, and gospel influence across trumpet, saxophone, keys, guitar, and singers. The Commonheart’s sound is a true testament to the past evoking the likes of Al Green, B. B. King and Joe Cocker while completely holding their own. While the soul-rock genre is not new to the Lander LIVE stage, The Commonheart promises to bring their big band energy and never a dull moment on stage vibe to get the Lander community up and rocking during this show.
Challenge for Charities Awards Ceremony
Opening the evening the Lander Community Foundation will host their annual Challenge for Charities Awards. Here concertgoers can celebrate 35 of Lander’s amazing non-profits as they get recognized for their amazing work. Additionally, the non-profits will be awarded their fundraising checks with funds raised from the 2017 Challenge for Charities fundraiser. As both a recipient and a supporter of Challenge for Charities, Lander Live is proud to host this event for the third year.
