National Donor Sabbath

noviembre 14, 2021

Celebrated this year on November 12-14, National Donor Sabbath (NDS), is dedicated to increase awareness about the lifesaving gift of organ, national donor sabbatheye and tissue donation among all faith communities. This three-day observance seeks to include the days of worship for major religions practiced in the United States.

National Donor Sabbath is a great opportunity for those who belong to faith communities to inspire fellow community members to say Yes to organ, eye and tissue donation. A few ways you can do that is by discussing donation with your faith leaders, sharing the facts about donation in your faith community and encouraging them to sign up as organ, eye and tissue donors.

Did you know all major religions support donation and transplantation? Yes, that’s right. In fact, many religions see donation as a selfless act of love towards those in need. Learn how you can get involved and celebrate NDS!

As a member of a faith community, you can register your decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor anytime online at Donate Life Colorado or Donate Life Wyoming.
