Q: With concerns around COVID-19/coronavirus, is the Scavenger Hunt still happening?
A: As news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to unfold, we are remaining vigilant and monitoring updates from the CDC and local government. We will communicate with you as the situation unfolds. You can read more about what Donor Alliance is doing in the face of COVID-19 here. Q: How did this event come about?
A: We asked and you responded! Donor Alliance conducted national research, polled our local Advocate for Life volunteers and the general Wyoming public and a scavenger hunt was the event of choice. This is the first event of its kind in the national Donate Life community and Donor Alliance is proud to start this adventure in Casper, Wyoming.
Q: When does online registration close?
A: Final online registration, for individuals and teams, closes on Friday, August 14, at 6 PM.
Q: Can I register day of?
A: Yes. Event day registration is from 9:30 – 10:00 AM at the Registration Table at David Street Station. Please note that the price increases to $15 per participant on event day.
Q: What is the schedule of events?
- 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM Event Day Registration/Check-in and Packet Pick up
- 10:10 AM – 11:10 AM Scavenger Hunt around Downtown Casper
- 11:25 AM – 12:00 PM Stories of Hope, Winners Announced & Prizes, and Bubble Release
Q: What does my event packet include?
A: Participants who register online will receive an event t-shirt; but quantities are limited, so we encourage you to register early! All participants will receive a packet including event instructions and various other items; including Donate Life materials and other fun items.
Q: How long is the Scavenger Hunt?
A: The Scavenger Hunt will take place over the course of one hour.
Q: Where does the Scavenger Hunt start and end?
A: The starting and ending point for the Scavenger Hunt is at David Street Station.
Q: What are we looking for during the Scavenger Hunt?
A: The event is a morning of fun for the entire family with participants challenged with solving puzzles and gathering clues throughout downtown Casper.
Q: Will a winner of the Scavenger Hunt be announced?
A: Yes, there will be multiple winners announced and prizes awarded in a post-hunt celebration! From local donations to cool Donate Life gear, don’t miss your chance to win!
Q: Where is the Donate Life Forest?
A: The Donate Life Forest is in The Lyric, across West Yellowstone Street from David Street Station. Visit this special place to honor, celebrate, and recognize those connected to donation and transplantation.
Q: Can I leave my Honorary Ornament with Donor Alliance?
A: Yes, any honorary ornaments left after the event will be stored at Donor Alliance and put up next year. People can also take their ornaments home with them and bring them back next year.
Q: Where should I park?
A: Parking is available on the streets of Downtown Casper near the David Street Station and The Lyric. There is also a public parking garage located downtown; and it is noted by the Downtown Development Authority as free parking on Saturdays.
Q: Are there public restrooms available?
A: There are restrooms available for event participants in The Lyric. During the Scavenger Hunt throughout Downtown Casper, there is access to a public restroom, located on Center Street near the Parking garage.
