Who We Are
The Donor Alliance Foundation
Welcome to The Donor Alliance Foundation, where we believe that organ and tissue donation and transplantation are human gifts that save lives and that all those affected by donation deserve to be acknowledged, supported and given access to resources that enable the gift of life. The Foundation funds efforts in Colorado and Wyoming that provide access to resources and education for those affected by organ and tissue donation and transplantation. We also support living donors and their families.
Request for Proposals & Grant Priorities

Empowering Lives
Breaking Down Barriers to Organ and Tissue Transplants in 2026
The Donor Alliance Foundation celebrates eight years of grantmaking dedicated to community impact. By addressing systemic barriers that prevent people from receiving organ or tissue transplants, we provide equitable access to donation and transplantation resources by funding programs across three areas: education, family assistance, and research. To date, we have awarded more than $1.5 million to organizations in Colorado and Wyoming.
The Foundation’s annual allocation for its ninth cycle is $225,000 in grants for 2026-2027, a $25,000 increase over previous years.
Visit our 2026-2027 Request for Proposals & Grant Priorities for all the details and link to apply.

Transforming Lives
The Journey of a Nonprofit Foundation Pioneering Change in Organ and Tissue Donation Since 1993
The Foundation was created in December 1993 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and re-established in August 2017, to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. The Foundation is a supporting foundation to Donor Alliance, the federally designated nonprofit organization that facilitates organ and tissue donation in Colorado and most of Wyoming. Donor Alliance invests significantly in public education in Colorado and Wyoming and the foundation will build upon those efforts through grant making to in-need populations across Colorado and Wyoming.
Our mission is to build partnerships and break down barriers to influence change that will positively affect the donation and transplant community. Our vision is to ensure those affected by organ and tissue donation are acknowledged, supported and given access to resources that enable the gift of life.
