On behalf of Donate Life Colorado, the state’s organ and tissue donor registry, we are pleased to showcase Colorado’s specialty Donate Life license plate.
This effort was accomplished thanks to the 4,000 people who signed a petition enabling the license plate legislation to be introduced. The plate became available for purchase on January 1, 2010 at Title and Registration offices throughout the state of Colorado.
More than 8,000 Donate Life plates are in circulation. Get yours when renewing your auto title and registration at the DMV!
What does it cost?
The plate can be purchased for a one-time, $50 fee at any time of year and does not need to coincide with registration renewal. Funds generated from plate sales will go back to the State of Colorado. Of the fee, $25 will be contributed to the Highway Users Tax Fund and $25 will go towards the Licensing Services Cash Fund.
Where do I go for more information?
