Donor Alliance announces “My Hero Said Yes!” campaign

November 17, 2014

Donor Alliance and the entire donation and transplantation community are proud to unveil a new marketing campaign for the Donate Life Colorado and Donate Life Wyoming donor registries.

The campaign, titled “My Hero Said Yes!” is a localized representation of the lifesaving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation. It tells the inspiring, real-life stories of transplant recipients right here in our area while also honoring their donors who made a selfless and heroic decision by saying “yes” to registering as organ, eye and tissue donors. The campaign features seven amazing transplant recipients from around Colorado and Wyoming doing the things they have been able to return to thanks to their transplants: their jobs, hobbies, favorite sports, etc.

Another exciting component of the campaign is hometown hero and baseball legend Vinny Castilla who is serving as a spokesperson for the cause of organ, eye and tissue donation here in Colorado. Vinny is a registered donor himself, and is helping spread the word on the lifesaving gift of donation and encourage all Coloradans to sign up on the donor registry.

You will see elements of this new campaign all over: billboards, bus shelters, print and online advertisements, Driver’s License and Drivers Services Offices throughout CO and WY, brochures, social media and more.

We invite you to read the stories of the amazing advocates featured in the campaign at DonateLifeColorado.org and DonateLifeWyoming.org.

Thanks for your support and for being heroes in the effort to save lives through organ, eye and tissue donation!
