Keep in mind that any DDS activities require the Becoming a Community Advocate training.

Administrative Opportunities:

  • Front Desk Support- Denver Office: We are looking for a few Advocates who would be open to being trained to help support our front desk administrative team on days that all staff are required at a staff meeting. We would bring you in for training on answering phones, accepting deliveries and then would follow up as we have opportunities arise. This includes: operation of multi-line switchboard, answering incoming calls, direct calls appropriately, checking in and directing visitors. *This is an ongoing opportunity. Special Project Opportunities:

  • DMV Ambassador Project: Calling all Colorado and Wyoming Advocates! We are very excited to be kicking off our brand new DMV Ambassador Project, inspired by your feedback (thank you!). This program is geared toward preparing our Advocates to visit their local DMV’s to connect with the staff there. 99% of registrants register their donation status at DMVs. We are hoping for our Advocates to visit their local DMVs during morning meetings or during business hours. Ideally, we would like these visits to include sharing your story, answering questions, debunking myths, etc. You can click here to view an entire list of the DMVs and Driver Services offices to submit your interest. Metropolitan Denver Opportunities:

  • DDS: St. Anthony’s North Cafeteria Table. We plan to have a Donate Life Month table during the lunch hour at St. Anthony’s North. It’s an opportunity to share the Donate Life message and ask people if they’ve signed up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. We are looking for 2 Advocates who would like to help staff this table. The event takes place at St. Anthony’s North, 14300 Orchard Parkway, Westminster, CO 80023.
    • Thursday, April 18, 10:45am-1:15pm
  • DDS: Dia del Nino/Children’s Day at Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Children’s Day is a multicultural community event that celebrates children and their families. A favorite annual event, this event takes place at Denver Museum of Nature and Science, offering fun and educational activities such as access to one of our city’s most important museums. Donor Alliance will be onsite with an informational table about Donate Life/Done Vida, as well as including their Transplantation Science program with activities for children, teenagers and their families. We will have educators on site as well. We are looking for 2 Advocates per shift for the informational table to interact with parents. There are two shifts to choose from: 9:00am-1:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm. At least one Advocate per shift needs to be bilingual. This is a fun event that offers the opportunity for great interaction with the community to spread the message of hope and education about organ and tissue donation. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wyoming Opportunities:

  • Wyoming Home Town Proclamations for National Donate Life Month. This year, Wyomingites can do National Donate Life Month proclamations in your hometowns! Donor Alliance has already submitted proclamation requests for the State of Wyoming, Casper and Cheyenne. If you would like to submit a request for your town to proclaim April as National Donate Life Month, please contact your local city council and complete their request form. We can provide all the messaging information to include in your request. Just e-mail Mandy and we will send you the template for submission!
  • DDS: Wyoming Donor Dash- Donate Life Wyoming Table. We are looking for 1-2 Advocates to help staff the Donate Life Wyoming table during the Wyoming Donor Dash! Advocates will hand out prizes and help answer questions from the community. The Wyoming Donor Dash is a 5k Walk/Run to honor donors and donor families, celebrate transplant recipients and recognize those that continue to wait for a lifesaving transplant. Donor Dash will take place at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper, WY.
    • Saturday, April 20th, 6:45am-10:30am
  • Special Event: Wyoming Donor Dash- Crosswalk Assistance. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to help staff the crosswalks where the race route crosses a street. A green Donate Life shirt and reflective vest will be provided. *This position is outdoors. The Wyoming Donor Dash is a 5k Walk/Run to honor donors and donor families, celebrate transplant recipients and recognize those that continue to wait for a lifesaving transplant. Donor Dash will take place at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper, WY.
    • Saturday, April 20th, 6:45am-10:30am
  • Special Event: Wyoming Donor Dash- Event Day Registration Table. We are looking for an Advocate to assist participants who are registering for the event onsite. The Advocate will help them complete the online form, provide event details and take payment. A Donor Alliance staff member will also be present to assist. The Wyoming Donor Dash is a 5k Walk/Run to honor donors and donor families, celebrate transplant recipients and recognize those that continue to wait for a lifesaving transplant. Donor Dash will take place at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper, WY.
    • Saturday, April 20th, 6:45am-10:30am
  • Special Event: Wyoming National Donate Life Month Proclamation & Photo Shoot. We invite you, our dedicated Advocates for Life, to join Governor Mark Gordon and Donor Alliance on Monday, April 22nd, for the Proclamation of National Donate Life Month at 3:00pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the event to guarantee parking on the State Capitol side streets. This event takes place at the Wyoming State Capitol, 2002 W. 24th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82001. While all are welcome, please sign up to RSVP so we can send you additional event details.
