Volunteer Opportunities

All current Volunteer Opportunities can be found here! If you don’t see an opportunity listed that you would like to volunteer for, or if you have any questions, please contact the Volunteer Manager.

Keep in mind that any DDS or community events activities require the Becoming a Community Advocate training.

Metropolitan Denver Opportunities:

  • Administrative Project: Donor Family Tribute- Donor Family Folder Project. We are looking for an Advocate to help support our Donor Family Tribute event by preparing folders for our donor families. To sign up, reach out to the Volunteer Manager with your availability for scheduling.
    • April 14 or 15, between 8:30am-4:30pm preferably
  • Administrative Project: Donor Dash Ribbon Inventory. We are looking for an Advocate to come to our Denver Administrative Offices to inventory our ribbons for the Donor Dash program. This project can be completed anytime between 8:30am-4:30pm, preferably on a Tuesday or Thursday to ensure staff support. To sign up, reach out to the Volunteer Manager with your availability for scheduling. The target completion deadline is May 20th.
  • Community Event: Dia del Nino. We are looking for 5 Advocates per shift to help support the Dia del Nino event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Every year, we support the Day of the Child with the Mexican Cultural Center at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. In addition to free admission for all visitors, the celebration includes special performances, music and activities for the entire family. We see about 7,000 throughout the day. This event will also be supported by Donor Alliance staff and Transplantation Science educators- so, if you are new to volunteering, this is a perfect event for you!  You are also welcome to enjoy the museum before or after your shift as well.
    • Shift 1: Sunday, April 26th, 9:00am-1:00pm
    • Shift 2: Sunday, April 26th, 12:45pm-5:00pm
  • Community Event: Colorado Rockies Donate Life Night. The Colorado Rockies take on the Chicago Cubs on June 10 with a 6:40pm game start. At this event you will engage with the public while giving away fun community materials at our kiosk table. This is a fun and high energy event with the busiest time using occurring before game time as the crowds come into the concourse.
    • Wednesday, June 10, 4:00pm-9:00pm
  • Administrative Support: Front Desk Support. We are looking for an Advocate to provide some support for our Support Services team at the Front Desk! You will serve as the welcoming face for the organization by greeting visitors, answering phone calls and supporting basic administrative tasks. Training will be provided and no prior experience is needed.
    • May 27-29, flexible times (any time you’re able to give, even a few hours especially in the mornings, makes a meaningful difference!)
    • Tuesday, June 16, 8:00am-11:00am: provide support during the Donor Alliance all-staff meeting
    • Tuesday, June 16, 11:00am-2:00pm: provide support during the Donor Alliance all-staff meeting
    • Future Opportunities: if you’re interested in supporting the front desk in the future, but can’t necessarily commit to the above dates, let the Volunteer Manager know of your interest and we can provide training for future opportunities.
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Team T-Shirt Sorting. We are looking for 10-15 Advocates to help support the Donor Dash by sorting t-shirts for teams ahead of Team Packet Pick Up. A light lunch will be provided. All Advocates will receive a promo code for a free race registration for volunteering!
    • Monday, July 13, 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Bib Labeling. We are looking for 10-15 Advocates to help support the Donor Dash by labeling bibs ahead of race day! All volunteers will receive a promo code for a free registration for volunteering. This opportunity will take place at our administrative offices located at 200 Spruce Street in Denver, CO. A light lunch will be provided.
    • Tuesday, July 14, 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Early Packet Pick-Up.
    • Wednesday, July 15th, 7:00am-7:00pm (multiple shifts)
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Event Set Up. We are looking for Advocates to help us in Denver’s historic (and beautiful!) Washington Park as we get set up for the 27th Annual Donor Dash! You will be supporting our exhibitor load in and helping with general event support. All Advocates will receive a promo code for a free race registration.
    • Saturday, July 18th, 12:00pm-4:30pm
  • Community Event: Donor Dash. Please join us to honor, celebrate and recognize at the 27th Annual Donor Dash in Denver’s historic Washington Park! We are looking for 2-3 Advocates to support the Donate Life Colorado table in the expo area of the event. A tent for shade will be provided. All Donor Dash volunteers will receive a free registration for the race!
    • Sunday, July 19th, 7:30am-10:30am
  • Community Event: Colorado Rockies Kiosk Activation. The Colorado Rockies take on the LA Dodgers on August 18 with a 6:40pm game start. At this event, you will engage with the public while giving away fun community materials at our kiosk table. This is a fun and high energy event with the busiest time usually occurring before game time as the crowds come into the concourse.
    • Tuesday, August 18, 4:00pm-9:00pm
  • Community Event: Colorado Rockies Kiosk Activation. The Colorado Rockies take on the San Diego Padres on September 14 with a 6:30pm game start. At this event you will be asked to engage with the public while giving away community materials at our kiosk table. This is a fun and high energy event with the busiest time usually occuring before game time as the crowds come into the concourse.
    • Monday, September 14, 4:00pm-9:00pm

Southern Colorado Opportunities:

Northern Colorado Opportunities:

Western Slope/Grand Junction:

  • Community Event: 2026 JUCO World Series. Join us in our 2nd year sponsoring the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction! This event brings thousands of baseball fans from across the country together, creating a meaningful opportunity to share the lifesaving message of organ, eye and tissue donation with the community. You’ll help support the Donor Alliance booth by engaging with attendees, answering questions about donation and encouraging people to register as donors. You’ll also help distribute educational materials and swag items. This event takes place at Suplizio Field outdoors and a tent for shade will be provided.
    • Saturday, May 23, 8:15am-1:30pm

Wyoming Opportunities:

  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Check In Support. We are looking forward to our annual Wyoming Donor Dash on Saturday, April 25th. We are looking for an Advocate to help support the check in table at the Wyoming Donor Dash. You will be helping race participants get checked in for the race and handing them their t-shirt. While this position is indoors, we still recommend that you dress for the weather as the external doors will be open.
    • Saturday, April 25, 6:45am-9:30am
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Coffee Table & General Event Support. We are looking for an Advocate to help support the Wyoming Donor Dash on Saturday, April 25th by helping to keep the coffee table clean and organized, passing out water, and helping to support the event. The Wyoming Donor Dash takes place at the Tate Pumphouse.
    • Saturday, April 25, 6:45am-9:30am
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- Crosswalk Support. We are looking forward to celebrating our annual Wyoming Donor Dash at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper! We are looking for an Advocate to help support participants at the crosswalk by helping them cross safely. A safety vest will be provided.
    • Saturday, April 25, 6:45am-9:30am
  • Event Support: Donor Dash- DLWY Table. We look forward to our annual Wyoming Donor Dash on Saturday, April 25 at the Tate Pumphouse in Casper, WY! We are looking for 1-2 Advocates to help staff the Donate Life Wyoming table at the Donor Dash! Advocates will hand out swag, chat with participants, and help answer questions.
