Advocate Spotlight: Eamon Lujan

Donor Alliance volunteers and advocates are the heart and soul of our efforts to inspire and inform our community about the importance of signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in Colorado and Wyoming. Each of our volunteers and advocates has their own unique and inspiring story to tell. This month, we are featuring Eamon Lujan, a heart recipient from Littleton, Colorado.

What is your favorite memory volunteering for Donor Alliance? My favorite memory is dancing and singing with my mom in the Parade of Lights with the Donate Life balloon.

What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment is being a big brother to my beautiful sister who has Down Syndrome and Autism and advocating for organ donation and special needs.

What song would you sing at karaoke night? For karaoke night, I would sing “We Three” by the Ink Spots, because the Ink Spots are now one of my favorite music groups.

If you could take an all-expenses paid vacation, where would you go? If I could go on an all expenses paid vacation, I would go to Paris because they have bread, love, and Disney Paris.

What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it? The last movie I saw was “Bumblebee”. I’d recommend it, although the parents in the movie were just really annoying the whole time.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? The best advice anyone ever gave me was from my mom, who simply told me to not care about what other people think and just be true to myself.
