Advocate Spotlight: Lori Pratt

Donor Alliance volunteers and advocates are the heart and soul of our efforts to inspire and inform our community about the importance of signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in Colorado and Wyoming. Each of our volunteers and advocates has their own unique and inspiring story to tell. In this advocate spotlight, meet Lori Pratt, a donor’s mother from Aurora, CO.

Get to Know Lori Pratt in this Month’s Advocate Spotlight:

What is your favorite thing about volunteering at Donor Alliance? It gives me some purpose. Especially with Donor Alliance because in some ways it keeps me connected to my son.

What is your favorite season and why? Fall- love the weather, harvest time, colors and the smells.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Raising two of the most kind hearted, giving people that I know.

What is the last book you read or movie you saw? Would you recommend it? The last book I read was a Julia Quinn novel, First Comes Scandal. I would recommend it but for me it is all about everything Bridgerton!

What song would you sing at karaoke night? I would sing “Brown Eyed Girl”.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? My mom always told me, if you like what you see in the mirror in the morning, you’re going to have a good day. If you don’t, not so much. And she was right.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us we’d love to have you join our Advocates for Life program! Get started.
