June 2, 2025

You might not think twice about the license plate on the car in front of you, but sometimes, those few characters tell a story more powerful than a billboard ever could. The Donate Life license plate is a way to honor donors, celebrate recipients, and raise awareness of the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. In both Colorado and Wyoming, it’s a simple way to make a difference every time you hit the road.

Why Donate Life Plates Matter

Specialty plates like Donate Life help save lives by raising awareness and encouraging conversations about organ donation. Every plate on the road is a visual reminder of the importance of registering as a donor.

These plates aren’t just symbolic—they fund donor education, support grieving families, and spark real change. In fact, Colorado has the highest donor designation rate in the nation, and Wyoming is in the top 10. Over 1,300 people in the region are currently waiting for a life-saving transplant, and more visible support helps shorten that waitlist.
