Staff Spotlight – Carrie Fox

In this month’s staff spotlight, meet Carrie Fox. Carrie is a Quality Assurance Coordinator for the organ team at Donor Alliance and has been part of the team for 1.5 years.

Meet Carrie in our February 2023 Staff Spotlight

Tell us a little about your role with Donor Alliance.

In my role as a Quality Assurance Coordinator, I am responsible for the timely collection, verification and review of organ and tissue donor records. As part of that review, I ensure compliance to Donor Alliance, regulatory and partner standards and policies.

What do you enjoy most about/what’s the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my position is knowing that I am a part of our mission to save and heal lives through organ donation and transplantation. I am always moved when I hear stories from our donor and recipient families and the impact that donation has had on their lives.

Tell us about a time at work that really moved you. What’s the most meaningful interaction you’ve had at a Donor Alliance event? Most moving experience you’ve been a part of?

I am always moved by the “Connect to Mission” presentations. In my short time at Donor Alliance, there have been so many speakers that have shared the impact that donation and transplant has had on their lives and I tear up each time. Every story is unique and touching and I am always so proud to know that I have contributed in some small way.

If you change anything about your life, what would you change?

I think the only thing about my life that I would change at this moment, is that I would like to travel more frequently.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

I love spending time with my family! Together, we enjoy camping, fishing, traveling, baking and just celebrating times together. I also love to watch my children in their own sporting events (baseball, softball, gymnastics & E-sports).
