Donor Alliance Named Healthcare Advertising Awards Winner
Donor Alliance, the federally designated, non-profit that facilitates organ and tissue donation in Colorado and most of Wyoming, announced today that the organization won silver and bronze awards in the 2015 Healthcare Advertising Awards for marketing materials associated with its My Hero Said Yes” campaign.
The “My Hero Said Yes” campaign aims to raise awareness of the Donate Life Colorado and Wyoming organ, eye and tissue donor registries by representing the amazing, real-life stories of local transplant recipients. The campaign also honors the donors who made a selfless and heroic decision by saying “yes” to registering as organ, eye and tissue donors. The campaign poster, which won silver in its category, and the billboard, which won bronze, both feature images of local transplant recipients and include the initiative’s slogan, “My Hero Said Yes!” All campaign materials were created by Donor Alliance and their agencies The Fletcher Group and Wet Paint Communications.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is notably the largest of its kind. More than 3,500 entries were received this year from every state in the country and multiple foreign countries. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
“We are dedicated to raising awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation throughout Colorado and Wyoming, and the ‘My Hero Said Yes’ campaign contributes significantly to that effort,” said Sue Dunn, president and CEO of Donor Alliance. “We are honored to receive this powerful endorsement of our work from the national healthcare advertising community.”
