Connect to Mission
Our Mission: Donor Alliance saves and heals lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation
Our Vision: Maximizing all donation opportunities
Our Values: Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, People First
At Donor Alliance, our mission is deeply personal for many team members who bring their own journeys of love and loss to their work each day. When staff members with lived experience guide families through donation decisions or advocate for awareness, they transform professional commitment into heartfelt purpose. This authentic connection to the mission defines who we are as an organization, shaping our approach to donor-family care, recipient support, and community education with compassion and understanding for everyone we serve.
A Personal Mission
Sammi Magyar
Sammi Magyar’s connection to organ donation began in 2014 during her senior year of high school, when her Varsity Poms team lost a beloved teammate, Taylor Llewellyn, in a tragic car accident. Like many teenagers, the team never imagined something so devastating could happen to someone their age. In the days that followed, Taylor’s parents, Nicolle and Steve Llewellyn, chose to honor her life through organ donation—saving five lives and giving five people the gift of more time with their loved ones.
Taylor’s legacy united her school and community through the phrase “Stand TAL,” inspired by her initials, Taylor Autumn Llewellyn. Months later, Sammi and her teammates honored Taylor’s memory with a tribute performance at their state competition, dancing to a voiceover provided by Nicolle. The team won state that year, but more importantly, they carried Taylor’s spirit with them. Years later, that experience came full circle when Sammi joined Donor Alliance—her way of continuing to honor Taylor and the lifesaving power of donation. Together, Sammi and Nicolle share Taylor’s story as a reminder that even in profound loss, donation brings people together and creates hope.
