On Saturday, September 21st in Downtown Casper, Wyoming, hundreds gathered to celebrate life at the 1st Annual Donate Life Wyoming Scavenger Hunt! The participants came together to honor the lives of organ, eye and tissue donors; celebrate the lives of organ, eye and tissue recipients; and recognize those who continue to wait for a lifesaving transplant.
The event featured the new Donate Life Forest – a special place where family and friends could gather to remember stories of their loved ones and special days with a photo ornament. Many shared memories or touching wishes on the leaf seed paper hanging from the trees.
Attendees enjoyed touching presentations from Donor Alliance staff and Stories of Hope from transplant recipients and donor families during a post-hunt celebration. Winners were also announced and surprised with prizes from local downtown businesses and Donate Life Wyoming.
We want to extend a big thank you to all of the participants, speakers, volunteers, organizations and local businesses who helped make the 1st annual Donate Life Wyoming Scavenger Hunt a huge success! In case you missed it, watch the recap video, below! You can view pictures from the event here.
If you couldn’t make it out to the event this year, no worries! You can show your support any time year-round by saying Yes to organ, eye and tissue donation at DonateLifeColorado.org or DonateLifeWyoming.org. If you’ve already said Yes, we encourage you to share your decision with your family.
